Fastest submission response ever

Yesterday, I submitted a short story (First Crush, 1500 words) to a wonderful online journal called Hot Flash Fiction. I received an acceptance within 2 hours!

Co-editor Susan Welch wrote, "Although we usually look at our submissions in small batches, I was piqued by your title and opened it on a whim to read right away. Both I and co-editor Eliza immediately loved it, and are pleased to inform you that we'd like to publish it in an upcoming issue of Hot Flash Fiction."

How cool is that?

They pay you equal to your age. Isn't that sweet? The fact that there's any payment at all is always a wonderful bonus.
